This group of four light-filled townhouses was designed to balance density with livability on a tight inner-urban site, while embracing a biophilic approach to foster a stronger connection with nature. Two of the homes offer 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, while the other two include an additional water closet (3.5 bathrooms), made possible by a more compact kitchen layout. All homes are arranged over two primary levels with a mezzanine and rooftop garden above. Living spaces are located on the middle floor to maximise natural light, with passive design strategies supporting year-round comfort and energy efficiency. Biophilic principles are expressed through generous planting zones, private gardens, and internal courtyards that introduce natural ventilation, filtered light, and visual greenery throughout. Clever use of courtyards and roof terraces ensures that private open space and floor space ratio requirements were met without compromising functionality or outdoor access. Each home includes a private rear deck and landscaped garden, reinforcing the indoor-outdoor connection and offering residents a daily sense of calm and retreat. The material palette blends industrial edge with Japandi-inspired warmth, complemented by natural textures and organic finishes.
